Obesity is on the rise in India. A 2016 study published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research found that 19.3 percent of children and adolescents were either overweight or obese since 2010, compared to 16.3 per cent between 200 and 2005. The study also pointed out that the rise in obesity among children and adolescents was not restricted to higher socio-economic sections of society, but is also prevalent among lower socio-economic groups.
A study published in the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism noted that obesity appears to be influenced by eating calorie-dense food, high in fat and sugars. Changing lifestyles, availability of calorie-rich food, and less physical activity also appear to be possible factors potentially resulting in being overweight or obese.
Obesity is a forerunner to metabolic syndrome, poor physical health, mental disorders, respiratory problems, and glucose intolerance, all of which can continue into adulthood. Another study pointed out even more serious potential side effects of obesity, including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Coriander- Development of fungus, bacteria or yeast in the body can result in poor absorption of nutrients in the gut. This causes inflammation, bloating and growth of toxins in your body, which is one of the causes of weight gain. Coriander consists of an essential oil which helps in eliminating these types of infections and fungi development. Regular consumption of coriander juice ultimately cleans the gut and cleanses the body, hence helping you reducing weight.
LONG PEPPER- The world is getting obsessed about weight loss today, and many people are foolishly turning to picking up "healthy" foods from supermarket shelves. Long pepper, on the other hand, is a wonderful herb that is believed to promote weight loss and have minimal or no side effects on the body. It is known to reduce body fat and discard the stagnant fatty toxins from the body, thereby preventing obesity.
BLACK CUMIN- Kala jeera is also known as Black cumin seeds, and it helps in lowering the blood sugar levels, which is ultimately helpful in weight loss.
POMEGRANATE- For being so small, pomegranates are surprisingly high in fiber—one of the most important nutrients for sustainable weight loss.
